extruder temp resets to 200C

I have checked the preset first layer and normal extruder temps and both are set to 235 but every time I go to print something once it gets to 235 it says waiting for extruder to reach 200C then its not hot enough to print.

Check for any M104 or M109 commands in your start g-code. These might be overriding the temperature.
