MatterHackers MH Build Series PVA Filament - 1.75mm (0.5kg)
MH Build PVA is an affordable PVA filament intended for producing quality support prints for your 3D printed parts. PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) is a water-soluble material that is often used as a support material, but can also be used to print independently. PVA supports are useful for complex designs where removing support material manually is difficult or impossible, but leaving the part in a water bath overnight will completely dissolve this material. MH Build PVA is made with price in mind for any maker, from beginner to advanced.

MH Build Series - Affordable PLA 3D Printer Filament for Every Maker
MH Build 3D printing filaments are designed with price in mind; we have taken the best aspects of PVA filament and created an affordable solution for every 3D maker. MH Build filaments include PLA, ABS, and PETG. So if you’re a pure beginner with a limited budget, or an additive manufacturer looking to save on production costs, MatterHackers MH Build PVA is the filament to get any job done.
PVA filament is easy to print with due to its low melting temperature of 185°C, which also make it a perfect match with PLA, which has very similar printer settings. The only special characteristic to keep in mind is that PVA is very hygroscopic, meaning it very easily absorbs water from the atmosphere. Best practices for managing this include storing the filament in a sealed container or drying it in an oven before printing.
PRINTS BEAUTIFULLY ALONGSIDE PLA
PLA is a favorite filament in the 3D printing world, and shared common printing temperature with PVA. PLA is also hydrophobic, meaning it doesn't absorb water, which means you don't risk affecting your parts by submerging them in a water bath to dissolve your supports. PVA and PLA also share a very similar glass transition temperature which is very helpful as you are not printing two materials next to each other at heavily varying temperatures. MH Build PVA prints translucent with a slightly yellow tint. It is most often used on 3D printers with dual extruders, with one extruder printing a primary material (such as ABS or PLA) and the other printing this easily-dissolved material to provide support for overhanging features.

Questions
What is actually included in this package, and how is it different from the LulzBot TAZ Glass/PEI Print Bed?
Does this replace the stock aluminum bed carriage plate?
Is the glass side smooth or is it slightly textured? I hear textured will release the print easier any thoughts on this?
what is the difference between the LulzBot TAZ Glass/PEI Print Bed?
Can this be installed on the TAZ 5. I don't know if it uses 24v for the bed -- it is SN KT-PR00036 and I purchased it 12/8/2015
Me again with a more specific question: is it a combo of the LulzBot Taz Glass/PEI Print Surface AND the LulzBot TAZ Etched Modular Print Bed Heater? Thanks for fielding these questions; I am finding the product information a tad confusing.
