What is PLA Filament?
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a thermoplastic polymer made from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugarcane, or other starch-rich crops. It is commonly used as a 3D printing filament for a variety of reasons, including:

- Environmentally friendly - much more biodegradable when compared to other petroleum-based plastics

Out of curiosity, I've grown fond of the New Matter's Nautical blue, on my screen the reel looks similar, but the print looks different, how close is that to it.
Does MatterHacker have mechanical/property specifications for PLA
I ordered this and it seems to be a bit translucent/transparent. Do you have an indigo that is more opaque than this in PLA?
I have bought other pla from here but this blue in different. Places in the print do not stick and layers just fall apart, what gives. Same temps, same machine.
I too have experienced this same issue. It seems to do it with all these filament colors that are a little translucent. Didn’t know they were translucent when ordering, but pla sticks to bed just fine, just doesn’t seem to actually stick to itself. Not sure what the deal is with these.

I had the same problem as well. I have been using Build series PLA in black with much success, and ordered both Red and Blue recently. My first prints in the red (which appears as opaque as the black) worked great at 215c/55c on a glass bed, same settings as black. My first print with the blue was a failure - it was almost "crumbly" feeling, and very easily separated along the layer lines. Little pieces of print were broken off and scattered around the bed because of the poor adhesion. I hope this issue can be resolved soon as I have come to really love MH filament, but not so much with this blue.
I have also experienced this. This is my first and only PLA from MatterHackers so far, so I can't compare it to the other colors. But no matter what temperatures or speeds I use, I get very poor layer adhesion, and a very brittle/crumbly part if the layers do happen to bond. On top of this, the filament is quite translucent. I am curious if it's just this color that's having problems in the Build Series PLA lineup, or if it was just a bad batch of this particular color.
