Orbi-Tech CLEARANCE - Black Soft PLA - 2.85mm (0.75kg)

0.75kg of 2.85mm black colored Soft PLA.

Soft PLA is a flexible 3D printing material that feels and acts much like rubber. Can be used to make parts that can bend or must flex to fit their environment - stoppers, belts, springs, phone cases and more.

Soft PLA prints best around 225°C and should be printed at a slower speed than regular PLA.

The Right Balance of Flexible and Printable

This extremely flexible PLA will allow you to create prints that will have the properties of a durable rubber, which means that it is remarkably resilient and elastic. Sticks great to a bed that is layered with blue painter’s tape. We also recommend that you print it at a slower speed than normal PLA.

When comparing different flexible filaments, it's important to consider the different levels of hardness and flexibility. Ninjaflex is the softest with a shore hardness of 85A. TPE is slightly firmer but still very soft with a shore hardness of 90A. Soft PLA is the firmest of the three with a shore hardness of 92A. If your printer has a bowden tube Soft PLA is the best choice for you.

What's the tare weight of the spool?

This material seems to have terrible warping through our e3d volcano extruder when printing at lowest temperatures and max fan, is this material especially sensitive to chamber temperature and/or humidity? Cheap amazon PLA's don't seem to have any of the same issues...

In addition to my previous question, what is the diameter of the reel?

Whats the print settings of PRO PLA vs normal PLA? 1. I see your suggested settings of 235°C (assuming nozzle, all layers); This seems high over other 'normal PLA', the Prusa PLA i just took off my machine ran good at 205-210. BUT i did notice your BUILD series PLA states [205±15°C]. So pro just needs to run hotter? 2. Suggested setting says "Print speed 15mm/s" - That seems VERY slow in comparison to Prusa generic PLA I was just running. Again, I checked your BUILD series PLA to compare... nothing is listed, can you provide some more finely tuned print settings? Problem; off the batt with a new 5lb spool this stuff is printing pretty accurately from what I can tell but is VERY stringy. I'm about to test some higher temps and will report back.

What is the spool thickness on these 10lb reels? Want to make sure the holder I make can fit these on it. Also, what is the hole diameter in the reel?

Does this shrink less than the standard PLA when cooling? I don't see any mention of this specifically?
