Proven material from a trusted source

DSM has been creating and perfecting high performance plastics for the last 25 years and have remained dedicated to helping people everywhere create and do more via engineering grade polymers. The Novamid® line of polyamide (nylon) products provides a great blend of ductility and stiffness which can be leveraged in applications from electronics assembly jigs to automotive and aerospace products with carbon fiber reinforcement. Novamid® has been available for injection molding for many years, but can now be utilized in the desktop 3D printing space as an everyday filament. Read below and download the Technical Datasheet for a complete breakdown on the properties and capabilities of this material.

Is Nylon right for my product?

Choosing the right material for your next 3D printing project is one of the most important steps for success. Nylon is a high strength material with just enough flexibility to stop it from breaking under stress. If your design includes living hinges or interlocking pieces like a gearbox, nylon is likely the perfect material for long-lasting and reliable components. Infusion with carbon fiber in materials like Novamid® ID1030 CF10 and NylonX further increases the stiffness of printed parts while maintaining ease of printing and keeping production time to a minimum.

Can you provide a video of the above print and give the exact settings used? We are very interested in this filament but need more information. Some have stated they think the pictures are fake. I do not believe that and need to prove them wrong.
