Tungsten is a rare material that when carburized can be hard to machine but is more resistant to the deleterious effects of the granular additives of abrasive filaments. It's also more energy conductive than steel, allowing printed material to be primed much more quickly, meaning that print times can be decrease as material extrudes more quickly.
Questions
Is this cemented tungsten carbide (e.g. cobalt cemented), or is it literally a single solid crystal of tungsten carbide ceramic? I actually do need to know this. I am working with fluoropolymers, which release trace amounts of HF when held above their melting point. HF destroys cobalt-cemented tungsten carbide by corroding the cobalt binder, even though tungsten carbide itself resists it.
Is this Tungsten metal, or Tungsten Carbide? They are very different things. The title and description do not match.
Will this work with a Monoprice Mini Select V2? ( stock)
What is the installation torque specification on this nozzle? Does it differ from the E3D documentation?
Would it work with a prusa mk3?
I am currently using a Robo 3D R1 printer. It is three years old. Their extruder is unique in that is hex shaped and would appear not as wide in its heat fins as say an e 3d head. In an effort to stop frequent jams would this fit my block? There is no Teflon tubing within the heat fins length. Thanks.
Do these work on the Titan Aero Nozzle?
Do these work well with NylonX (chopped carbon fiber) filament? It is very very abrasive.
What are the dimensions of this
This works with dremel 3d45?
Two different pictures of this nozzle.. which is the correct one?
Will this work on the cr10
Is this nozzle suitable for food safe printing? I’m aware that FDM printing in general isn’ recommended for food safety due to the process resulting in microscopic holes bacteria will thrive in but I simply wish to know if merely using this nozzle will not add trace amounts of lead like brass will or anything else and it isn’t coated with something which will make it unrecommended or blatantly dangerous in a food safe workflow.
We have not tested this, but we do not recommend using this to print models that will be used with food as there may be trace amounts of the tungsten coating left in the prints.
