Questions
Where is the Raise3 Pro made?
How to keep filament from absorbing water? Is Idex with two heads included? How to maintain chamber temperature at ideal Level to prevent warping or poor bonging
There’s no good way to keep filament from absorbing water. For highly hydroscopic filament the suggested method is printing from a PrintDry but there’s no port so you’ll have to keep the door open :/
It is NOT IDEX, just dual extruder. A big difference. Dual extrusion is intended for printing two materials in a single print (however I never got this work, EVER). IDEX is independent dual extrusion, meaning each extruder can act independently. In addition to the same benefits of dual extrusion, IDEX allows each extruder to do its own thing which is useful for printing mirror prints, two prints at the same time, and more. Again, this is NOT IDEX and I have had absolutely zero success using both extruders at the same time. Maybe I got a dud, but the only value the dual extruders offer is two different filaments loaded and ready to use. So basically useless
You don’t, and it causes many failed prints even with PLA. There is no way to keep the temperature managed. The suggestion from tech support is to use the heated bed to “pre-heat” the environment for an hour before printing ABS for example :smh
Unasked warning
I was so excited when I bought mine, but it’s been a nightmare since Day One and I learned the hard way that there’s lots of “Features” but they’re typically halfway thought through, rarely documented (They have great docs for the Pro2, but they are different enough that they aren’t useful). Avoid this machine like the plague!!!!
Credit where credit is due, Raise3Ds Tech Support truly seemed to want to help, and often went above and beyond most companies these days, Although they were great, they are a bandaid for a woefully inadequate and unfinished product that wasn’t usable for me
