SIMPLE UPGRADE, BIG RESULTS
No matter the shape, size, or design of your 3D printer, adding a BuildTak FlexPlate System converts it to a removable print bed system. Instead of reaching into your 3D printer and removing parts there, you can now remove your FlexPlate from the entire print bed along with your finished 3D printed part. Take your FlexPlate and finished part to your chosen workspace, bend the FlexPlate in any direction, and your 3D print should effortlessly pop off of the BuildTak print surface. This simple upgrade to your 3D printer can make a world of difference. Once you experience the ease of using a FlexPlate with BuildTak, you’ll never want to print on anything else.
MAXIMIZE YOUR MACHINE TIME
BuildTak Sheets have been a favorite 3D printing surface for over two years, and the FlexPlate System makes utilizing BuildTak even easier. Available in a variety of sizes to fit all kinds of 3D printers on the market, simply install the Magnetic Base on top of your 3D printer’s existing print bed, adhere a BuildTak sheet to the FlexPlate, and magnetically attach the FlexPlate to the Magnetic Base. After your 3D print is finished, the FlexPlate with the BuildTak sheet can be easily detached from the print bed, flexed in any direction, and with a gentle twist, your 3D printed part should separate from the print bed cleanly. Replace the FlexPlate back onto the Magnetic Base, and you're ready to print again!
The BuildTak FlexPlate makes removing prints quick and easy!

At what temp can this be used at everyday before loosing its magnetism? and when compared to the wham bam flex plate. what are you getting for the 40% more in price? wham bam 90$ spring steel sheet. this dont even use spring steel does it? @140$ hmm
How thick is this whole system? Is it thinner than the standard 12"x12" glass plate?
Can I install on my TAZ 5? I will have to adjust the Z axis.
stoopid question from a very old idiot... Taz-6 standard setup with borosilicate bed with pei on one side and standard bed heater. is it ok (and what drawbacks).... glass plate PEI side DOWN.... can I fit a magnetic base and removable spring steel surface PLUS a Print-Brite surface stuck to the spring steel surface. this would be easy to remove and remove prints but is it ok?
I'm about to changing out my hotbed to something much thicker, Is there any chance i can order just the magnetic mounting base in case my current one does not survive the move?
I am getting this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend , he has a creality 3D printer and the bed is 12x12x12. I just wanted to make sure that this brand will work with this?
Does it work for a Makerbot z18?
also, is there a substitute for this besides glass?
I have a tevo nereus basic. its bed is 320 mm by 320 mm. i would like this product, but I'm confused. If I buy this, I get the flexplate, the adhesive sheet, and the magnetic base. The mag base attaches to a non magnetic surface, correct? and the adhesive sheet and the flexplate is for the surface, right? how would i save money on this? is there any of the things i don't need? or should i just get glass?
Do you know what grade of magnet is used? What size are the individual magnets (LxWxH)? How thick is the magnet sheet? How many magnets are in a 12x12 plate?
will this work for the Raise Pro 2?
How flat is the surface compared to other options (mirror, etc)? Will I need to perform mesh leveling to avoid surface bonding issues related to variations in surface defects?
Just a warning for people that this bed does not work well with repeated use and ABS: the glue bubbles up and creates ripples. And its a one way system in that the magnetic base that is glued to your platform creates a huge mess if you decide not to use it.
Is it compatible with the Prusa Mk2S.
I want this for my Lulzbot Taz 6. The PEI plate got gouged AND I love the idea of easy part removal. Can I remove the Taz 6 PEI plate and put this BuildTak system on? Or even clean the gouge and put this on the PEI? After adjusting the Z-Offset and I don't see why it wouldn't work. Please confirm. If anyone has done this, I'd love to hear from you.
Can I use both sides fo the steel sheet? ie pei on side and buildtak on the other
would you just put it on the heated bed of the cr10?
Would this system work on a Rais3D N2 Dual Head printer? I was thinking of using it instead of the glass/buildtak plate it the printer comes with.
can this system be applied directly to the heat bed?
I got a SigmaX. Would this be an option to place on top of the glass bed?
What temperature is the magnetic surface rated for?
Will NylonX stick to this if you use a glue stick? I've read that it will and I've read that it won't. I'm having good luck with my glass bed and glue stick for NylonX but I can't get ABS to stick. I don't want to get something that'll get the ABS to stick and prevent the NylonX from doing so but I have quite a bit of ABS that I can't really use at this point. I've also thought about getting an extra Flexplate but not putting the BuildTak surface on it and seeing if the NylonX will print on the bare metal with the glue stick if it truly will not stick to the BuildTak.
What is the max temp. of the hot bed/ extrudate compatible with this build plate?
How much does the magnetic build take system weigh? Is it less than the glass plate that comes with the printer?
Is this okay to use on the heated bed of a Lulzbot TAZ 6?
I am planning on a custom 3D printer build with a 50cm x 50 cm plate surface, can you supply such size? -What is your largest plate?
i have a formbot t-rex 2+ and need the magnetic base plate 400x400 can you provide a link to purchase such an item?
Does the buildtaknolaye work as a detectable surface for Magnetics distantie sensors?
I bought the flexplate system.. and for the record I LOVE IT!!! Unfortunately I added it to my Glass Plate (ease of removal) and believe the extra mass has begun causing me to get y axis shifts (12”x12” cr-10) I am wanting to remove it from my glass plate to use directly on the aluminum bed, I use ABL mesh leveling. What is the trick to remove it? Or how do I get more adhesive? It seems to be wanting to stick to well to my glass, and the magnets look to be wanting to pull out!! I got scared and stopped for now.
How hard are these to cut? I have a 200x300 build surface so i'd need the 12" version but i'd need to cut it to fit.
is there a custom made one specific for 300 x 300 : L x W (mm) instead of the extra 4 mm in your 304 x 304 (mm) flex plate. I Know this is a minor distance, but it just help to see if there is a option to make a more exact shape for my 3d printer.
Will this bes work with anycubic mega x I'm needing a new build plate the mega x xomes with 300x300mm plate
