Wood, Polystyrene, Plastic? Fantastic.
TAZ 6 is one of the few desktop 3D printers that can print with more than just your run-of-the-mill plastic. Create with ABS, PLA, PVA, high-impact polystyrene, and a wood filament. But don’t stop there. Because of the all-metal HotEnd, you can print with Nylon and Polycarbonate right out of the box! Here at MatterHackers, we offer a variety of specialty filament, so feel free to check them all out and experiment with your new LulzBot Taz 6.
Open Source is Optimal
LulzBot has its origins in open source - the first printer they made was a Prusa Mendel. They then refined and enhanced that design through several new products until they reached the TAZ 6. The benefit of having an open source 3D printer is that you can adopt the latest and greatest technology being developed across the 3D printing market. From experimental filament materials and the open source 3D software like MatterControl, to new accessories like hot ends and print surfaces—experience the joy of user freedom!
Wireless Printing
The LulzBot TAZ 6 features wireless printing through an SD Card with a diverse, multi-faceted graphic LCD controller - Never get caught up in wires again! Sometimes, the intricate designs that your imagination generates can take some time to print, especially with the precision that the TAZ 6 provides. With the ability to print via your SD Card, you now have the liberty to move about with your computer while your 3D printer works. The LCD controller screen is truly a great tool - it allows you to view and select files easily, making your printing process run all the more smooth.
No messy "ink" with 3D printing!
Why Buy A LulzBot
When it comes to customization LulzBot is king. If you don't like to be boxed in and you prefer to keep your options open, then a LulzBot is the right printer for you. The open build design of the LulzBot allows for easy and rapid customization and modification so that your machine can evolve and change to meet your needs. Changing parts is a snap with the LulzBot. That means that when technology changes in 3D printing you can easily upgrade and modify your machine. Additionally, one of the greatest things about the TAZ 6 is that it prints at an incredibly low layer height of .05mm. That means you can print parts that are structurally sound while maintaining aesthetic beauty. The TAZ 6 has a re-engineered drive rod system, meaning that it can render your prints more precise than ever before, especially the first few layers, which are most crucial to a successful print.
