Questions
who is the manufacturer
Fillamentum Neon Orange Transparent - How clear is this when printed? How is this in comparison to something like Taulman T-Glase? I'm looking to back light the material with white LEDs. Does this print like PETg?
Can you get the color "Ghost White"? What is the leadtime? Regards, David
What is the weight of this product?
Is Fillamentum Morning Sun Transparent CPE HG100 Filament - 1.75mm (0.75kg) a PETG filament?
Theses products are a CPE. CPE (Co-Polyester) is a very strong and versatile material with great thermal resistance and chemical resistance. It is a great material for printing mechanical parts. CPE is great for printing large objects because it has almost no warping.
PETG is a type of CPE, i.e. "copolyester". I wish the manufacturer would answer this question, because they would have a much more precise answer. "CPE" could be a variety of formulations. Judging from the extruder temp documented above, I'd guess that this filament is not PETG, but being in the same class of plastics -- copolyesters -- would behave similarly. The "co" molecule is probably different; PETG adds a glycol to PET, the Fillamentum CPE probably adds a different molecule, hence the higher melting/extrusion temp.
