When building a 3D Printer for precision printing or high-torque operations, the Bigfoot stepper driver is ready to deliver the best of both worlds. Capable of driving stepper motors up to 3 Amps and microstepping down to 1/256th, the Bigfoot BSD2660 is the perfect pair for the Azteeg X5 GT 3D Printer controller board. While 1/256th microstepping is technically possible with other driver boards, the BSD2660 can be configured to interpolate microstepping directly on the chip, taking that load off the main controller's processor and freeing up valuable processor cycles. This method is recommended for performance reasons with any microstepping above 1/16th. Due to the higher current these boards can accommodate, they are physically larger, have larger heat sinks, and are only compatible with the X5 GT.
