Use this alignment coin to calibrate exactly where the color change line is on your specific printer and filament setup. The angle will be different for every printer setup, but we have found that if the printer and filament stay in the same orientation, the alignment doesn't change from spool to spool.

Questions
How does this work? There's no instruction how to use this to get things to print properly. I paid almost 40 dollars for a spool of filament I'm basically wasting because even when printing in vase mode and my nozzle just moves around in a circle I'm only getting a print that's pink on one side and blue on the other. there is no shift like there is supposed to be.
Do you just use the degree markings on the coin to see how to best position your own model to show the two colors in the desired way?

I have printed Phil A Ment, Benchy, and a yak (highland cow) and I have color change vertically AND horizontally. I printed this coin, and it started out blue, but the top 3 to 5 layers are red. My vertical shift begins around 300 degrees. What causes the horizontal shift and how do I correct that?

Are there any articles on how to calibrate the printer once you have the filament?
the filament is just like any other filament regarding estep calibration. This coin will show you where the 2 colors of the filament line up after it is extruded. Then you can rotate you .stl file in your slicer app to line up where you want each of the dual colors
