Raise3D Raise3D Industrial PPA CF Support Filament - 1.75mm (1kg)

Raise3D Industrial PPA (Polyphthalamide) Support Filament is a break-away support material specially developed for PPA (Polyphthalamide). During the 3D printing process, it creates a stable support structure and provides proper adhesion to the surface of printed parts, while counteracting the tendency to warp, and thus significantly improving the surface quality finish both on overhangs and the cavities of printed parts.

Raise3D Industrial PPA CF Support Filament

A high-performance composite filament for end-use applications

Raise3D Industrial PPA CF Filament is carbon fiber reinforced composite filament material based on PPA (polyphthalamide or high-performance/high-temperature Nylon). Thanks to its high performance Nylon matrix, this composite filament has superior mechanical and thermal properties than other Nylon filaments. With well controlled dispersion and length-distribution of chopped carbon fibers (15 wt.%), the PPA CF has lower density, lower moisture absorption, high strength and rigidity, high wear and creep resistance, excellent chemical and heat resistance.  It is promising for end-use applications in automotive, aerospace, electrical and electronics (E&E) industry.

  • High rigidity and strength
  • Better thermal performance
  • Lower moisture absorption
  • Dimensional stability
  • Chemical resistance
  • High strength-to-weight ratio

Printer Compatability

Filament: Raise3D Industrial PPA Support Filament

Applications

  • Automobile
  • Aerospace
  • Electrical and electronics (E&E) industry
  • Industrial end-use parts

Benefits

  • High Strength
  • Heat Resistance
  • High Stiffness

Technical Specifications

  • Nozzle temperature (°C): 290-310℃
  • Bed temperature (°C): 65-80℃
  • Layer height (mm): 0.1-0.25 mm
  • Printing speed (mm/s): 30-120 mm/s
  • Cooling fan: OFF
  • Drying temperature (°C): 80-100°C for 4 to 6 hours

Printing recommendations:

  • Abrasion of the brass nozzle happens frequently when printing PPA CF. An abrasion resistance nozzle, such as hardened steel and above-grade nozzle is highly recommended.
  • After the printing, it is recommended to anneal the model with support material in the oven at 80-100°C for 8 to 12 hours to improve mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy.
