Questions
What’s the strongest filament the S5 is able to print?
Does the Ultimaker require Ultimaker brand filament or can any universal filament be used?
I have the S5 and the Tough PLA has jammed. It is stuck in the nozzle and refuses to move or to pull free. Nozzle gets hot, movement wheel works. I have tried hot and cold pulls and the fillament will not come out. How else can I get it out or pull the nozzle out with 9 inches of filament stuck>
Hi, is it possible to print eyeglass frames?
How do I update firmware if I plugged in everything on the pro bundle and didn’t update firmware first. It shows 7.0.2. I need 7.0.3 installed. The screen doesn’t show update firmware. It just comes up blank.
What settings would create the most fine detail prints for miniature figurines for D&D?
I just got my S5 when I am not printing can I leave the printer on so I can connect remotely and start a print?
Is this compatible with Windows 10?
Can the S5 print the PVA soluble material to make a soluble mold or can it only be used as a support material? Can the PVA material be printed with the standard print cores included with the S5?
Can the S5 utilize 1.75mm filament?
Are there any smaller size nozzles for this machine? I want to use 0.3mm or smaller nozzle heads?
We have a print that ran out of filament part way through and are waiting on another spool to arrive. However this will probably take about a week. Apart from structural issues, is there any damage that will be done to the printer, bed, or print cores from leaving it in "standby" (bed heated and cores partially heated) for a week? My inclination is that we should just abort and restart once we get more filament.
what is the Ultimaker S5 Enhanced Service Plan
If the 5S comes with hardened nozzles, why would I ever need to purchase an optional ruby nozzle ? Thanks.
Do you sell replacement plates for the S5?
The "What's In the Box" list does not show the Aluminum bed plate. Doesn't the printer include both glass and aluminum plates, as of August 2019 ?
I want go print a cast for dental to put on the teeth can i do it is it print a-rigid material like pmma
I understand that PP will only adhere to itself. What do you reccoment when I print with PP? Will I have to put down a bed of PP shipping tape? I have done this in the past on other 3d printers. It gets messy and time consuming.
Im saving up for the 5s and will buy it a couple of months. In the meantime, I plan to use it in my garage woodshed and at times it gets pretty dusty. My first major use of it will be fab-ing jigs that Im constantly trying to tinker together. Given its usage, I want to put it in a cabinet that I'll build in advance. Question 1, what size enclosure is necessary for this machine when it operates (Filaments on, and going into the cabinet etc). Question 2, Given its location in a cabinet, does it need active venting (fan?). Thanks
Will the S5 print with Polycast™ for investment casting filament?
IF Ultimaker S5 is purchased from you guys, do you guys provide in field training? Thanks,
Does it support files from Solid works
What are the input power requirements? 120VAC, 220VAC, etc? Does the system need to be cooled or does it come with its own cooling system?
Is the Ultimaker S5 able to print silicone or a similar material that is washable? We're looking to modify companion dolls and produce custom accessories to clients individual preferences and 3d printing would be perfect. The materials must not degrade from creams/lubricants or alcohol.
Can you print peek?
Regarding "the Ultimaker S5 comes with an improved filament feed system with filament flow sensor so in case of power outage, or if you run out of filament, you can resume your last 3D print right where it started once you get a new spool loaded or the power back on," is there any way this feed system can be retrofitted to the Ultimaker 3?
How does it compare to the Raise 3D Pro 2 ? not in bed size but in terms of print quality and PVA printing, i know the older R3D N2 had issues printing PVA, is this fixed in the new Pro2 ? What about speed ?
Would the ultimaker s5 be suitable for recreating 1/6 scale figures that are of a very high standard of detail? the printed figures would then be used in a macro photo shoot
Relative to nozzles, what's in the box with the S5?
Are there any plans for high temperature extruders (350C+) so we can print high temp engineering plastics, like ultem?
we would love to have a Que system so that our multiple users (we are a school) can know about machine availability and scheduling. Is that in the works?
Can you use PVA as a support material for hotter print materials such as ABS
What about hardened or special nozzles for abrasive materials?
The CC Core has arrived, and the Ultimaker S5 is now ready to print with all your favorite abrasives!
