Tech Breakdown: BASF Materials by Innofil3D
For heavy-duty, industrial-grade materials for a wide variety of applications, Innofil materials by BASF top the list.
MatterHackers has partnered with BASF to bring you a new industrial line of filament backed by the Pros at MatterHackers and chemical experts at BASF: introducing Innofil3D.
Who Is BASF?
BASF is the world’s largest chemical producer with a portfolio to back it up. In the '30s BASF developed polystyrene, the same material styrofoam cups, model kits, and vacuum-formed containers are made from. They also have over 150 years of experience supplying to a multitude of industrial applications. If anyone could be called experts in plastic production, it would be BASF.
Quality and Reliability
From a continued intent on developing, improving, and producing plastics, BASF has the breadth and depth to know what it takes to create the highest quality product. With over a century of experience, creating filament is a breeze for BASF, and they understand the importance of consistency, reliability, and repeatability as key features for any 3D printing user.
High-Performance Materials
These aren’t your run-of-the-mill filaments. While supplying you with high-quality PLA and ABS you can also utilize glass-fiber infused polypropylene, carbon-fiber infused nylon, or carbon fiber infused PET for your prototype or end-use parts.
